In Defence use the slip rings are used in various applications on land, sea and air. Slip rings are used e.g. in naval vessels, military ground vehicles, missile and radar systems. Slip rings are parts of stabilized gun systems, laser target acquisition and fire control systems and they manage high bandwidth data communications between rotating and stationary parts.
Combinent has produced slip rings for defence use for guns, armored vehicles and radars. Combinent slip rings are used e.g. in 40mm Bofors, 57mm Bofors and 23mm Anti Aircraft Cannons.
